Tyron Shi
ITyron Shi is a visual and motion designer from New York. He graduated in 2022 from Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Product Design and a minor in Graphic Design. His personal work draws on his interests in music, photography, and cinematography. He brings this multidisciplinary mindset to his client work, approaching every project with an openness for pushing boundaries and finding unique solutions to visual and technical challenges.

TIMBRE — MUSIC AS LIGHTING
A music-reactive lamp that uses the audio qualities of space to create a multi-sensory experience. TIMBRE receives music from its surrounding environment and translates the sound waves’ amplitude into numerical values to modulate the lamp’s hue and luminance levels in real-time.
CAD design in Autodesk Fusion 360. The code is written in Python with MU Editor. Product photography is rendered with Blender 3D, and design prototypes are created.
