An Nonprofit organization for Art & Culture
Stonecube Art Association
Mission Statement
The Stonecube Art Association Inc. (SCAA) is a non-profit organization established in New York in 2020. The association was founded by Stone Chun Shi, an artist with a vision and perspective to transcend the ordinary in art. As a 501c3 organization, SCAA aims to provide funding and support to innovative young artists and art students in the USA through its young art talents programs. The association's primary objective is to support artists who make a living from creating fine art.
SCAA provides various resources and opportunities to support fine art artists, including scholarships, grants, and funding opportunities to assist with the cost of producing their artwork. Additionally, SCAA offers gallery space for artists to showcase their work, educational seminars and events to promote art education, and networking events to connect artists with patrons and collectors.
SCAA is in the picturesque Hudson Valley, known for its stunning natural beauty and historic landmarks. The location provides an ideal setting for artists to pursue their artistic careers, with inspiration drawn from the surrounding scenery. The Hudson Valley's art scene is thriving, with many artists and creative professionals calling the region home.
In addition to its location and resources, SCAA's founder, Stone Chun Shi, brings the organization a unique vision and perspective. As an artist, Stone Chun Shi understands the challenges and opportunities facing fine art artists.
His idea for SCAA is to provide the resources and support that young artists need to succeed in their artistic careers while promoting the growth and diversity of the art community.
SCAA hosts art shows and exhibitions, provides an artist residence program, and collaborates with potential non-profit associations that share its mission of supporting fine art artists. These initiatives enable artists to showcase their talents and inspire future generations to pursue their passion for the arts while promoting the growth and diversity of the art community.
Overall, SCAA is committed to supporting fine art artists in New York and beyond, providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed in their artistic careers under the visionary leadership of the SCAA board.
Giveback Award
StoneCube Art Association proudly announces its first “Giveback Award” recipient, Hao Liu - a blind pianist from JHU - Peabody Institute.
“Giveback Award” is intended to encourage and cultivate civic-mindedness and inspire give-back action among artists. This award is in honor of Robert Carr, a serial entrepreneur and the founder of Giveback Foundation, a nonprofit that has supported high school students facing financial hardship and obstacles to success through scholarship and mentorship, including those affected by foster care, homelessness, or parental incarceration and sent them to college for free.
Our team member Jie Hayes established the Melodic Vision Scholarship in 2023 to support scholarships for Peabody students with severe physical disabilities and to encourage inclusivity.
Stonecube Art Association has donated $5000 to the scholarship and received recognition from the JHU for the generous contribution
